Sea Plane 9-18-07
The seaplane belongs to Bob Haug but was designed and built by Paul. He had a trainer that met an unfortunate accident and the only part saved was the wing. I took the wing and designed and built the rest of it. We jokingly told folks that it was a scale model of an Italian plane called a "Frescobaldi". Some believed it. The fuselage is foam on a ply backbone and the servos are in the wing center section. The engine is an MDS 48 and the weight is about 8 lbs. It floats correctly but we have a fuel feed problem that we haven't solved yet. It has a rather high wing loading so takeoff may be interesting.
The other picture is self explanatory.
I have some other pics of planes I'm building, the building punctuated by several things including moving and having to build a shop from scratch.
Lord, I wish I had better facility with this stuff.
I have been working on this Cub for a long time but not lately for reasons left alone.
Paul
