Sunday SeaTac 12/02/07
On December 2nd.2007 I got to fly off of runway three at SeaTac using Mike Kidrick’s R/C helicopter
carrying a GPS receiver that was used to gain data to help calibrate the new bird radar installed on
the roof at the admin bldg. Our flight was the first authorized flight by the FAA with coordination by
the Port of Seattle of an aircraft taking off and landing on the new runway three at SeaTac airport.
Weather was bad but I flew. The ceiling was at 749 ft. Temp 35 wind 4.7 mph humidity 86 % rain and snow mixed.
Not a good day for R/C,
cold fingers and rain drops on my glasses and I had to wear a hard hat. I was lucky they wanted me
to fly circuits around a certain spot at varying altitudes that was easy to do.
